DVS Digital Video Systems AG has its headquarters in Hannover, Germany and is the leading manufacturer of high-end equipment in digital video technology for film, television, post-production as well as research and development.

The range of products extends from digital disk recorders and storage systems to conforming- and finishing systems for digital intermediates. Examples are the video-editing workstation Clipster and the DVS-SAN, that, as a central data register, gives multiple realtime clients access to digital, uncompressed video- and film-data.

Moreover DVS has numerous OEM-clients that integrate DVS Video I/O and processing boards into their own products.

Within the context of the EU-project IP-RACINE, that was founded to support the development of the digital chain in film production from image acqusition to film projection, DVS has invented a distributed-content management-system called Spycer, that is specially oriented to the needs of post-production and is able to handle all metadata in addition to video- and audio-contents.

The company is internationally operating. It has a base in the United States (DVS Digital Video, Inc.) and distributors in Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa.
