During IBC 2009 Fraunhofer HHI showed a revised version of the Stereoscopic Analyzer (STAN) and a solution for 3D format conversion of content for autostereoscopic displays.

Frauenhofer IIS

During IBC Fraunhofer IIS showed the newest generation of the microHDTV camera. The 2/3" CMOS image sensor was revised and offers now a better image quality. An integrated genlock for pixel-accurate synchronisation of several cameras, integrated H.264 encoder and enhanced possibilites for postproduction are the key achievements for the microHDTV cameras which are the basis for the 360° 3D panorama rig.

Aditionally the new Flashbox was shown. The Flashbox ist the advancement of the Megancine. Main feature of the Flashbox is the introduction of flash-based storage catriges. The catriges allow a continuous operation of the Flashbox.

In the postproduction domain Fraunhofer IIS showed the new version of the EasyDCP Creator which is now able to handle stereoscopic 3D.

DVS

During IBC 2009 DVS showed the third generation of the Clipster® video-workstation with a revised version of the stereo video-tracks, the DCI mastering for fast and secure 3D DCP creation and with an enhanced conforming solution for stereoscopic content.
